As of May
26, 2004, the
Montreal Gay and Lesbian Community Centre (CCGLM) offers a free and confidential Legal Information Centre (LIC) to
the
local gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual and transgender community. LIC's
mission is to assist those with legal questions in their search for
relevant information. Our bilingual team of volunteer law students will
take your queries by phone or e-mail. We will research your questions
and provide you with relevant legal information and some suggestions. Please note that LIC does not provide legal
advice and that any information you may obtain from LIC never replaces
professionnal advice by an attorney. By accepting to use LIC, you
agree to the terms of this disclaimer. If you need legal advice,
please consult an attorney. Should you need assistance in finding legal
counsel, LIC will be pleased to refer you to an attorney who is
sensitive to the particular needs of GLBT clients. You can reach LIC every Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at (514) 528-8424 or via e-mail at info@ccglm.org (Please leave a phone number. We will be providing information over the phone.) We look
forward to assisting you!
