Christian Tanguay has worked for Montreal’s LGBT community for many years. He holds a degree in management from HEC Montreal. His first involvement began as a member of Jeunesse Lambda. Since the CCGLM then housed Jeunesse Lambda’s operations, this is also where he has built his early links with the center. As he continued to give to the cause of sexual minorities, particularly within AlterHéros and REJAZ, he continued his studies Philanthropic Management at the University and Montreal and began a Masters in Adult Education.
His experience as a volunteer, as well as his academic background, made him a perfect candidate for the position of Director-General. Christian has joined the CCGLM in the summer of 2014. His project of modernization as well as his dedication to the cause will certainly increase the center’s potential for development and support to the community.
Hugo DucharmeAdministrative Assistant
The journey of Hugo Ducharme in LGBT community movement has begun few years ago in the Montreal-based group Jeunesse Lambda (JL). He was on many boards, including the Table de concertation des Gais et Lesbiennes du Québec (now the CQLGBT), AlterHéros, QAQY and MYCAH. Since the beginning of his involvement, Hugo discovered the Center and its library. He gave two lectures for the Library (one on André Gide and one on Yukio Mishima) and he also volunteered here.
Sharing all these experiences and involvements in cultural and community movements and students associations, Hugo joined the team of the Center in February 2016 as the new administrative assistant.
